All along the river Dordogne, you will find grottoes, fortified castles, and blockhouses wich tell us about life in Perigord from prehistory till now. 4 km away from "Pech de Compassy", you will find la Grotte de Cougnac well-known for its roky hills and paleolithic cave art. 3 km away,the castle of Fenelon opens on to the Dordogne and the forest of Bouriane.
After a 20 minutes drive you will find the medieval cities of Sarlat,Domme and Rocamadour, the Lacave grottoes and the Jardins de Marqueyssac which are also quite near.
